SIMPLY AMAZING
"Even though I saw clips here and there online, I still wasn't sure what to expect when seeing it live, so I went in with an open mind, and trust me, the cast and crew delivered. I was really looking forward to seeing Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard in action though so that was the only disappointing part about it for me. Other than that, the show was amazing. Would definitely go see it again. 10/10. Highly recommend. "

Great fun!
"The show was performed well by the cast. I appreciated the nods to the movie as well as new refreshing details so the show stood out as it’s own performance. The lead actors were on point and the supporting actors were great. The audience laughed, wooted, clapped and had a great time. It was a fun show!"

Death is good for a laugh
"The costumes were spectacular! The singing was fantastic. A couple areas of really off color humor unnecessarily spliced in. Only about 2 or 3 tho. It’s really a funny show that follows the movie very closely. I thoroughly enjoyed it! "

Outstanding Performance
"An unforgettable girls trip to Broadway. Death Becomes Her musical was in sync with the 1992 film. Production was spot on with every detail, including set decor, costumes and choreography. The performers and dancers were flawless. The support staff (ushers, bartenders, etc) were exceptional. Our seating was the last row in the mezzanine, it was not obstructed. I rate this a five-star show. "

Would see it again…..
"I thought the play was funny, well written, and the cast did an excellent job and not only performing, but the dancers. I thought the set design and costumes were very good as well. Special effects were good and the show itself was just very funny. My only criticism would be at times the music and singers were just too loud and it was a little difficult to understand because of the volume of the amplifiers, but, it was probably my second favorite show. I’ve seen on Broadway in the last year or two, and it’s one of the two shows I would definitely see again."

My mother in law loved it!
"My mother in law went to see this on her own and reported back to me that she was so glad we choose this for her to go see. We travel every year to see Broadway shows. This year my husband and I were meeting friends and my mother in law preferred to go to see an extra matinee show. She thought it was funny and liked the production (she is a former drama teacher). She did mention it would not be appropriate for children- I think bc of adult themes. Now I’m sad that I missed it. I think we need to go back to soon. "

Even without Megan Hilty, this show was a knockout!
"4 Broadway lovers flew internationally from Ireland and the Caribbean for this show. We knew about the nominations, and saw the reviews, but we were still delighted by how consistently funny the show is. Laughs for each number, and Jennifer Simard is outstanding. She captures the snark of Helen Sharp perfectly and what a voice!
Megan Hilty’s understudy performed brilliantly as well, although we were not informed until an hour before the show. We were offered a refund, but we really had no choice. We were flying out of the country the next morning, and it was too late to find another show). Still, we were very glad to be a part of the audience.
The set and lighting were perfect for creating the slightly creepy, absolutely camp, and at times bawdy tone. Having seen the film many years ago, we wondered how the shocking effects would be achieved. We were not disappointed.
And the singing! “For the Gaze” is a standout and helped to set the tone for the entire production.
Looking forward to the Tonys next month and seeing the awards pile up."

About
Death Becomes Her
The Tony Award®-Winning Musical!
Madeline Ashton is the most beautiful actress (just ask her) ever to grace the stage and screen. Helen Sharp is the long-suffering author (just ask her) who lives in her shadow. They have always been the best of frenemies…until Madeline steals Helen’s fiancé away. As Helen plots revenge and Madeline clings to her rapidly fading star, their world is suddenly turned upside down by Viola Van Horn, a mysterious woman with a secret that’s to die for.
After one sip of Viola’s magical potion, Madeline and Helen begin a new era of life (and death) with their youth and beauty restored…and a grudge to last eternity.
Time Out New York raves, “4 STARS! Death Becomes Her is savagely funny,” and Deadline declares it’s “wildly entertaining — a perfect musical comedy.” 2025 Tony nominees “Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard are two theatrical masterminds giving hilarious star turns” (The New York Times). Grammy® winner Michelle Williams is “irresistibly fabulous” (TheaterMania), and “Christopher Sieber stops the show” (Time Out New York). Based on the classic 1992 film and directed and choreographed by Tony Nominee Christopher Gattelli, Death Becomes Her is “a laugh-filled, tuneful musical to die for” (Variety) and “the most fun night out on Broadway!” (The Daily Beast)
